Program Options

There are three program options for ECSE students.

  • The one-year program is available only to graduates of the Curriculum & Instruction undergraduate program in early childhood education.
  • The two-year program is available to anyone who wants a master's degree in ECSE but does not want or already has licensure.
  • The three-year program is available to anyone who wants a master's degree in ECSE and teaching licensure.  Students in the three-year program also take courses in Curriculum & Instruction with undergraduates in early childhood education.

Visit this website for information on the program options.

See the program sequences document for required courses and the semesters in which they should be taken for each program.

Registration

See this website for guidance on the registration process.

Variable Credit Hour Courses

For some courses, such as SPED 524 and SPED 438, students need to adjust the credit hours when they register.  This is a very important step! Directions for how to do this can be found here.
